Bob White, Shaman . . .

“We come together to refocus our path, to be the highest form of healing that can occur.” Bob White

My shamanic practices have developed and evolved over the past 15 years through diverse training and personal dedication to exploring my path of spiritual growth. The shaman’s traditional role in many world cultures is to serve as a mediator between the people and the spiritual forces of the natural and spiritual worlds. I embrace this role through use of sacred instruments such as drums, rattles, crystal and Tibetan bowls, my voice, and more to open up the channels to potential expansion and transformation. Gently encouraging the unfolding of what is already in people, I believe, allows them to embrace something larger than they thought they could be.

For several years I was an apprentice to a Hawaiian Lono Priest and was “adopted” through sacred Hawaiian ceremony into those traditions and practices. I am an initiated shaman of the Hungarian Basca tradition. My strong connection with Native American indigenous shamanism provides a path for honoring those traditions as well. By applying an eclectic blend of all my training and experience, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive, sacred container for people to have their own individual experience, which ultimately allows for the most profound changes and healing.

I have a long standing commitment to the art of healing, which began 25 years ago as a massage therapist and continued as an instructor in the early 1990’s at East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland, Oregon. Drawing on my years of experience and training, my technique-focused, hands-on classes supported students in gaining tools to immediately apply in their practice. In 1990, I founded the Sports Massage Clinic, specializing in Onsen Therapy, which looks at the body’s structural alignment, focusing on muscle balance as the basis for healing. My experiential studies in France and England and with Peruvian shamans have opened me to explore and thus, I believe, embody a wide range of new modalities and techniques. My current practice, Shamaniclight, has evolved to include treatment for the emotional and spiritual body as well, using a combination of structural assessment, craniosacral therapy, and shamanic journey work.

I invite you to share my heartfelt integrity, caring warmth and energy through my monthly journeys, shamanic classes, and weekend and extended retreats.
